OUR HISTORY
AN EXCITING HERITAGE
Back in the mid-1800s, Kensal Rise was a muddy farming centre. By 1914, it had transformed into a buzzing social hub of entertainment with two major cinemas.

Pinkham Hall was part of the Constitutional Club, established as a small Edwardian Theatre in the 1920s. This charming venue has seen its fair share of pizzazz over the decades, having been a dance hall, snooker hall and venue for films, parties, discos, banquets and general tomfoolery.

In Autumn 2008, after a stylish-yet-sympathetic refurbishment, the building opened its doors to the public once more as the independent arts house and community venue, The Lexi Cinema.
